She moved to England from Aruba in 1964 with her seven children, including Del McPherson who was born in England. It was Agatha who put the group together when they were living in Trinidad. At that time, the group consisted of Oscar, Ashmore, Frank, Phyllis, and Tim. She would also act as their conductor during rehearsals, keeping them in time with her hands by clapping once and then swaying her hand back and forth, repeating the pattern throughout the song.
